ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - Noble U.S.A., Inc. announces its new RSV Series vertical mount, metal-oxide power resistors. The compact resistors feature self-standing, snap-in terminals for easy insertion and a stable profile. A 10mm X 3.5mm terminal pitch minimizes the resistor's footprint, increasing valuable board space. Applications for the RSV Series include power supplies, monitors, televisions, and switching regulators.

RSV Series power resistors are available with 5W (RSV5) and 7W (RSV7) power ratings. Both versions offer a standard resistance range of 1 to 10K (±5% or 10% tolerance). They feature a flame-proof coating and a unique wide terminal construction with built-in heat sinks which significantly reduces board temperature rise. Height dimensions are 42mm for the RSV5 and 45mm for the RSV7.

The RSV Series resistors have a maximum operating voltage of 500V/AC. They feature an operating temperature range of -55° to +155°C.

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - Noble U.S.A., Inc. announces its new XV092 Series of low-profile, board mount rotary potentiometers which have been re-designed to meet the stringent performance demands of professional and consumer audio equipment. They are also suitable for a wide range of other portable and consumer electronic applications.

The XV092 Series pots offer easy snap-in mounting in both vertical and horizontal configurations. They feature a unique film element which reduces noise while providing smooth operation and superior wobble characteristics. Products are available with a full-range of options, including choice of flatted, 40-tooth knurled or screwdriver adjust shaft, each in a variety of lengths. A center detent type is also available.

The Series' total resistance ranges from 5K to 500K in Linear, Audio, and Reverse-Audio tapers. The maximum operating voltage is 50V AC/20V DC and the power rating is 0.05W. Total rotational angle is 300°.

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL - Noble's expanded RE Series mechanical encoder line includes five new models. Each of the new products offers a smooth operational feel, making them ideal for use in audio, medical, appliance, test & measurement and automotive equipment. Noble's RE Series encoders feature a rugged construction and snap-in brackets, and are available in a variety of sizes and configurations.

The RE Series offers numerous rotational torque specifications, allowing designers to match a particular feel to their specific application requirements. They are available with a variety of output signals including 2-bit (24 position), 4-bit (15 position) and 5-bit (24 and 31 positions), with or without detented positions. The RE Series includes an encoder with a momentary push switch for dual functions within one shaft, and a shaftless version with 5-bit output.

RE Series encoders are available in 13mm, 16mm and 20mm housings, in either a conventional panel-mount or snap-in, board-mount configuration.
